Pastor Mark

ABOUT OUR PASTOR:

I’ve been at Willow Church starting my 5th year this past July, 2008. My ministry began about 7 short years ago as I discerned whether or not serving a Church as her Pastor was something to pursue as a second career you might say.  Never in my wildest dreams or expectations would I ever have imagined how fulfilling  & life changing that  journey has been!

Faith wise I come from a pretty traditional background. My family growing up had strong Catholic roots. Like many of us I settled on my own tradition. For me personally as an adult I figured out I was more Protestant than Catholic and hence I am a Methodist by choice and practice. For me that decision has fit well in my life. Being a Methodist has brought an evenness and stability I didn’t have for many years.

As this Church’s Pastor I strive to teach and preach the Gospel in practical and relevant ways each and every Sunday. I guess I am a “Preacher” in the truest sense of the word.  In that preaching is the main focus of my ministry I hope to inspire as well as instruct but more importantly spread God’s love with the words I speak on any given Sunday.

As a believer and seeker myself I try to relate values & morals with Biblical truth that folks can use and incorporate in their daily lives throughout the week.  I believe it’s important to live out our faith in tangible ways using Jesus’ call to love God and love others as our model in all areas of our Christian life. Our homes and workplaces, our marriages and neighborhoods and that the Church enables us the opportunity and community to make that happen in all the days of our week.        Rev. Mark
